Happy New Year. It is January 1st, 2026. The world is screaming at you to run 10k, detox your pantry, and reinvent your entire personality before noon.

But if you are feeling a resistance to the "New Year, New Me" chaos, I want you to know: That isn't laziness. That is intuition.

At Flow to Glow, we don’t force flowers to bloom in the snow. If you are currently in your Luteal Phase (the week before your period) or your Menstrual Phase, your biology is asking for rest, reflection, and warmth - not a HIIT workout or a restrictive diet.

The Strategy: When to Actually Start

If January 1st feels arbitrary to you, that’s because it is. Your body runs on a 28-day clock (the Infradian Rhythm), not the Gregorian calendar.

Here is how to sync your resolutions if you are in your:

1. Follicular or Ovulatory Phase

This is your "Spring" and "Summer". You naturally have high energy, high resilience, and a desire to be social.

  • Action: By all means, start today! Go to that spin class, meal prep for the week, and launch your new project. You are primed for new beginnings.

2. Luteal or Menstrual Phase

This is your "Autumn" and "Winter". Your hormones are dipping, and your body is focusing on clearing out the old (literally). High intensity efforts now will only spike cortisol and lead to burnout by January 15th.

  • Action: Use this week for Strategy, not Execution. Buy the groceries, plan the workouts, clean your space, and journal your intentions. Wait until Day 1 of your cycle (the start of your period) or the end of your period to "launch" your new routine.

The "Flow" Resolution

This year, don't ask "How much weight can I lose?" or "How productive can I be?"

Ask yourself: "How good can I feel?"

When you focus on flow - on blood sugar balance, on sleep, on syncing with your cycle - the "glow" (clear skin, healthy weight, high energy) happens automatically.
